more blood drawn

Annette's 5th blood test was scheduled yesterday for the neuorolipidosis screening. They had to take about 9 ml (think that was the same amount drawn for her 3rd blood test for many different tests). They took it from the crease of her elbow whereas the last time was taken from the back of her hand. Not sure why but this time round, her blood clotted so they had to reject the whole sample and had to redo the whole procedure. Think the nurse was more experienced the last time round so we tried telling this nurse what the other nurse did the other time - like collecting the blood in smaller lots. Thank God she complied and the 2nd time was okay. We're praying the courier will be able to send the sample as quickly as possible to maintain its freshness for accurate testing.

Annette was already so upset after the 1st time, what more the 2nd time. She was exhausted from all that crying and struggling that she even fell asleep as we walked back to the car (she has never fallen asleep before with us carrying her). So she even missed her lunch thus her timetable was messed up yesterday. Hopefully she gets back to her routine soon so she'll be able to eat and sleep better.
