Despite only having 2 families on our friends' list and a few families on the grandparents' list, it still seemed like a very busy day because Sen had to handle the catering, the giving-out of the full-month cakes and the bubbles for the kids to play, while we juggled between feeding Sammie and Annette. Thankfully Sammie's friend, Jaime, was early so she could play with her and take some time off our hands. So Sen only managed to take a few photos of Sammie and some friends, and no photos of Annette because she was mainly sleeping in her Maxi-Cosi car seat/rocker/pram (a very useful item to have that my brother bought since Sammie's birth).
It was supposed to be held from 5-7 pm because lunch would be too warm at the BBQ pit (unfortunately there's no air-conditioned function room at my in-laws) and the kids would need to sleep after that. It also gave us more time to pack the full-month cakes (Yes we packed it on our own because we wanted to get yummier cakes at a more affordable price compared to the usual packages. Got pastries from Delifrance and kueh from SG Kueh, and packaging from SKP.) But most of the relatives arrived around 6 plus so we left for home around 7 plus while some relatives still stayed on. Thankfully some thoughtful relatives got presents for Sammie - thank you! - so she was very happy. (We told Sammie that the party was also for her being a big sister.)
