We were supposed to attend the Project Timothy Bible Conference from 13-15 July but we ended up only going for the first day because Sammie fell ill. She was very understanding and patient, even though she had missed her morning nap, ate lunch later than usual, and had a much shorter than usual afternoon nap, while she followed Mummy everywhere to prepare for the registration and was very distracted by the many people there.
Not sure whether that caused her defences to be down or whether she caught a cold from someone... but when we got home on Friday night, she started coughing, had a runny nose and a fever. Usually she would only get a fever after vaccination which would be cured after 1 dose of panadol. Her fever went away easily. Her runny nose took a bit longer but her cough was the worst, which took about more than a week. We were very worried and consulted various doctors as it was the first time Sammie fell ill for so long (but glad she was still as active as ever). Thank God that the past 10 months of total breastmilk helped to build up her constitution! Thank God Sammie got well soon after Dr Lilian Chang saw her.
Mummy fell ill too a few days after Sammie did and is still sick! Had to cancel tuition lessons too. (Thankfully Daddy looked after Sammie during the weekend so Jan could really knock out with medicine.) And thank God Sammie and Daddy didn't catch it from Mummy who diligently wears a mask everytime.
