Shocking news #1:
Carl just stepped away to clear Sam's diaper and when he walked back, she was on the floor! She had flipped over and crawled backwards off the mattress and landed on the floor! Looks like we can't just leave her on the mattress anymore on her own...
(Renactment, with Jan standing by for safety)

Shocking news #2:
Jan took Sam swimming (for the first time!) with Aunty Joanne and Joshua (and Aunty Charlene and Granduncle Jim) at Uncle Richard's place. We thought that Sam would certainly enjoy it because she always loves her baths and had been splashing more water, kicking harder. But Sam cried the moment she was put in the baby float while Joshua was happily swimming around with water on his face. Probably because Sam didn't feel her feet on firm footing (no baby pool)... hope she'll enjoy it if we go swimming more often!
